Q & A
Here you will find common questions being asked.
Q. When I place an order for a book, where is the book printed?
A. The books are printed directly from Lulu.com, Barnes and Noble/ or Amazon Publishing House
Q. How long does the book take to print and also for it to arrive to me?
A. The whole system could take upto 2 weeks. Firstly, the book needs to be ordered through our website forms, then paid for; and, as soon as humanly possible the book is ordered from the printers and then dispatched to the author first for quality control; and then checked, packaged and there-after forwarded to your address.
Q. Can I order directly from the publishing houses directly?
A. Yes, of course you can.
Amazon: Amazon Publishing
Lulu: Lulu Publishing
Q. I think my order is late. What can I do?
A. Firstly, be patient, sometimes the printing and postage can be delayed for reason beyond my control; (especially when posting overseas, at the moment). Secondly, you can send us a message leaving your details and we’ll get back to you as soon as we’re available: usually within 24 hours, allowing us a little time to check progress, on your order.
There are many printing houses around the world; so, your book maybe printed and published within your own country for speedier printing. Sometimes, where it is the case; your order maybe printed in another country – so please allow extra time for this.
Q. Who wrote your books?
A. That’s an easy one! My names Pete Houghton and through most of my experiences of being a teacher, web developer, artist and also gathered from personal experiences, have wrote and designed all the books. Many of the books have taken a few years combined study and knowledge gained from personal living experiences; and only recently have decided to publish. Presently, I am presently working on a few more books as we speak!
Q. Can I find your books in the local shops?
A. Presently no; but hopefully maybe in the future.
Q. You have developed an app. How do I download this? Is it secure? What mobile phone is this for?
A. Presently, the app is only for android phones. The app can be directly downloaded from the ‘APP’ menu above. The app is just a representation of the web-based live format of this website so it requires online internet presence to work. The only difference between viewing this website directly on an app on an android phone is that you can see the live website full-screen without the web-browser interface, menu and the address bar. Other than that, the website is designed to be mobile phone friendly.
The app has been developed by a pc app called ‘websitetoapk’ and digitally signed. The app is also scanned for viruses and malware for your peace of mind. So, it should be safe to be installed on android mobile phones. (if in doubt, please don’t install – you can still view the websites in a web-browser)
Q. I have downloaded the app from your site, where is it on my phone?
A. The app version will download into your downloads folder on your phone and it is called: ‘Pete’s Book-Store_1_1.0.apk’. You might have to go into the settings of your phone first and turn/ switch-on: ‘install apps from unknown sources’ before installing; then go back to your downloads folder and then install. Once installed, the icon should be present on one of your screens. It will be a white, with blue text: ‘BookStore’, square icon and named: ‘Pete’s Book-Store’. When it’s installed, the app will connect you with this live site.
Q. Will there be an iphone app?
There are no plans at the moment to develop an iPhone app. iPhone users can still view the website through a web-browser.
Q. I have a few more questions that I would like to ask. How can I contact you?
A. You may contact me: here

Peter Houghton is also a professional, multi-talented and multi-skilled individual with a passion for sharing a hands-on approach to education, in order to help empower others. Such subjects range from teaching guitar, IT, photography and also TEFL. He is professionally qualified in each of the subjects he teaches and shares his knowledge and experience and holds many Diplomas and Masters in specialist subjects: T.E.F.L and guitar. He has applied himself rewardingly to many subjects and disciplines with a varying degree of success; of which, he can be proud. He has worked in various sectors and acquired and employed his various skills in homeless shelters, schools in the region and taught on ‘one to one’ basis and also within a few conference centres.
He loves others to be successful through his creative and focused tuition programme and methods. Peter is a creative and resourceful person who presents interesting complimentary traits to which he builds on, and admits a weakness for perfection; but with that, likes to be highly organised.
He is always looking forward to immerse himself with new found knowledge and ideas; beefing up his skill-sets as much as possible; and with that, is researching and learning about new techniques to share.
Throughout Peter’s demonstrative leadership qualities and assets, he continues to inspire and motivate others throughout his passions. He is suitably qualified, with professional Diplomas; and also individual subject Masters, in each of these subjects. He is armed with a wealth of knowledge in each to pass onto others; as can be seen in his qualifications, with matched knowledge and experience.
He mainly gets his inspiration and energies from a few individuals; such as his son-in-law, who has written many books on marketing; and to-date, whose books are still being sold successfully online. He is also influenced by his mother who, had gained her own success climbing the ranks becoming the head of department in her own career path. Such as this inspiration, has led Peter to embark on and formally produce and publish from his own tuition materials into a few handbooks ‘Guitar Tuition for the Beginner’ Levels 1, 2 and 3 plus to accompany: student fillable chord chart book and to join the series: Guitar Tuition for the Beginner Hints and Tips.
